Rosemont Family Day 2019-20

How is it DECEMBER already?? Surely I am not the only person wondering this...

In the past two months, we had a parent information meeting about the GROW program, the 2nd grade audition, the 2nd grade pre-visit, the first tour for all grades, the second tour for 3rd grade, AND the Rosemont Family Day! Even as I type this, I can barely believe how much we've done in such a short amount of time.

Let's begin with fun pictures from the November 16 Rosemont Family Day. What fun we had! Our event included a scavenger hunt, family tours, yummy treats from Doc Popcorn, a caricature artist, two artist-led activities, and a mariachi band performance!

Thank you to everyone who came out and joined us. I loved seeing so many GROW students, and watching their excitement as they showed their families the sculptures they visited during GROW tours.  :)

Rosemont Family Day 2019

We finished our year with another fabulous Rosemont Family Day! DJ Sudie greeted smiling faces with festive dance tunes. Families enjoyed making banners with Kristen Barnhart and adding to colorful weavings with Lesli Robertson, a powerful performance by the Rosemont Dance Company, a fun family tour, a challenging scavenger hunt, and delicious ice cream. It is always such a treat to meet the families of GROW students. :)

Join us for Rosemont Family Day May 18!

Mark your calendars for Rosemont Family Day at the Nasher Sculpture Center on May 18th!  Enjoy fun activities at our *NEW* earlier time, 10:00am-12:00pm.

• Scavenger hunt
• Performance by Rosemont Elementary Dance Company
• Fun projects with artists Lesli Robertson and Kristen Barnhart
• Festive Tunes provided by DJ Sudie
• Frozen treats from Melt Ice Creams

Keep these things in mind as you prepare for your visit:

• Admission is FREE for all Rosemont students and their families.
• FREE bus transportation is available to families who RSVP by May 10 to Mrs. Cianciulli or Mrs. Lawson.
• Meet at the lower Rosemont parking lot to ride the bus to the Nasher no later than 9:30am on May 18.
• If you'd rather ride the DART train, get off at the Pearl or St. Paul station and walk two blocks north to the Nasher at 2001 Flora Street. Click here for DART schedules.

Rosemont Family Day 2018

This year's Rosemont Family Day was super fun!  We had a scavenger hunt, two artist-led activities, a live DJ, and cool treats from Steel City Pops. We also enjoyed a wonderful performance by the Rosemont Dance Companies, which included current GROW students as well as a GROW graduate.  Thanks to everyone who joined us!

At artist Mylan Nguyen's table, visitors made personal talismans on small porcelain discs that they could wear on a chain or string necklace.
