Metal Magic Tour Bonus

At the end of our tour, we visited these works of art by Iza Genzken. Genzken is this year's Nasher Prize Winner. Students began by sharing observations and asking questions about the sculptures. (The 3rd graders had such fun conversations at our first three stops that we didn't have time to visit this last gallery!)

Iza Genzken is risk-taker who creates sculptures in new and innovative ways. She combines nontraditional materials in unexpected combinations and is inspired by architecture, pop culture, and historic events. 

New York City is one of Genzken's favorite place to visit. She likes to take photos and collect items to help her remind her visits. To finish our final tour for the year, students reflected on their tours at the Nasher this year and wrote down their favorite artwork and something they learned.
